Southwest is our airline for the South West: ©Natalie Keshing
Ladies and Gentlemen We Will Now Be Boarding…
All these great statistics is brought to us by Fox News Travel: My commentary below.
Rarely have I had the opportunity to choose a different airline other than Southwest, except for my visits to Paris, France, New York City, Vancouver, Canada, Washington State, Miami, Florida and a few others.
I certainly have traveled to Viva Las Vegas only through Southwest Airlines and of course to Los Angeles and San Francisco California. Yes, as I sit there and happily enjoy my peanuts and ask for a ginger ale please.
I guess I haven’t traveled enough in the last year. I didn’t even know Southwest Airlines wasn’t charging for extra baggage or luggage.
You would immediately think well that saves time at the ticket counter with all those great friendly people on the Southwest ticket line. But then you have to factor in that some are higher maintenance than others, like Elizabeth Taylor who was said to travel with 8 chests. Well when you’re that rich it doesn’t really matter and I suppose she probably never flew on Southwest Airlines having a private jet accessible to your personal schedule. Ah the life of the rich…we can only dream on.
Well it turns out that Southwest not charging for extra luggage has trickled down to delaying flights. But Southwest is committed to their new policy and if you’re a light traveler verses a high maintenance traveler everyone is just going to have to wait a little longer when taking off and arriving at your destined location.
Hey I’m happy we can get on planes and go anywhere! I always wanted to take flying lessons!
ICYMI In Case you missed it.
A time ago, Dallas to Austin, $15 on Southwest.
You are so funny! I’m finally feeling better. Like I said I was happy we invented planes to go somewhere delightful. How can we forget that in the 18th Century people had to travel by ship, it would take weeks to go from America to Europe.
