A day never forgotten is a memory to last a lifetime. ~ Natalie
Good evening Natswritings readers and good day to all other’s around this vast world. I am in fine form today. I have nothing to complain about and even if I did, I try to do that silently.
I’m looking at my fake Christmas Tree missing a real tree. The smell of pine. My old dependable colorful lights; lot’s of strands. I remember the 14′ real tree and me taking piano lessons next to the tree. Believe me playing that piano was a cathartic experience for me during some challenging times. The lights that came with the fake tree were out about mid-point. Those few Christmas lights got fixed and now there’s another strand that went out for no reason other than me looking at it. Maybe it senses my disappointment. But I shouldn’t be, I should only be grateful. I think I’ll buy a pine aroma to spray on the fake tree…thinking suddenly about the conversation topic from a fake tree to “Fake News”.
That seems to be on many people’s minds and skepticism. I share with you Mr. Denzel Washington’s commentary on mainstream media and “Fake News”
“If you don’t read the newspaper you’re uniformed. If you do read it you’re misinformed.”
“That’s a great question,” Washington fired back swiftly. “What is the long-term effect of too much information?”
“One of the effects is the need to be first, not even to be true anymore. So what a responsibility you all have; to tell the truth, not to just be first, but to tell the truth.
“We live in a society now where it’s just first. Who cares? Get it out there. We don’t care who it hurts, we don’t care who we destroy, we don’t care if it’s true. Just say it, sell it.”
With that said, I write with passion and truth. Believe me I check my sources; especially if I want to inspire #Millennials at #buzzfeed thru #socialmedia at Natswritings.com
Every article I wrote at Natswritings.com under “More To Read” category “Best of Election 2016” I did a lot of painstaking research to present nothing but the truth. There were tremendous benefits. I learned a lot about our election process, our government, about the President’s administration and the seriousness of a premeditated pattern of behavior that potentially did expose 21 top secret national security documents to our adversaries actors who infiltrated an unsecured, unprotected system.
The irony is that NOW, mainstream media and some of the Democratic party are focusing their efforts primarily accusing Russia of infiltrating (hacking) our government cyber security systems. When none of this was the central focus or topic to address for four years, starting from 2009 through 2013 where numerous federal government employees were working on an unsecured personal server used by the Secretary of State in the State Department.
But life is full of irony and hypocrisy. Well, enough of that.
I have continued to write and add to “The Baroness Karen” a delightful story where I believe it’s up to 4,372 readers. That’s a wonderful number.
Then I brought back “The Darkest of Night” and that one hasn’t attracted as many readers like “The Baroness Karen”. It is a crime chilling thriller and only Chapter 1. But it’s Christmas and all the holiday spirit surrounding us, so who wants to read about a crime thrilling murder mystery.
I have to share this, I have the Yule log (fake) on my TV screen, But I do have a real fireplace. My Christmas Tree (fake) to my right and listening to a great rendition of “Silent Night”. But no snow, not yet anyways.
I will continue to write and please if there’s anything on your mind that you would like to share with me at Natswritings.com; please do.
Merry Christmas until tomorrow.
