Let yourself go
Let yourself go
And So it began,
The Distance Of My Life
Down From The Waterfall
And Where I would land.
Not Understanding
Or Acknowledging
My True Self.
Though I Knew The River
Was High and Tumbling
With Debris And Stones
That Scratched Me, Bruised Me.
These Were The Lessons To Learn.
And At The Tip Of The Top
I Had No Escape.
But Only
To Allow Myself
To Fall
Into The Waterfall.
They Thought I’d Drowned.
The Bridge I Saw
As A Glimmer Of Life & Hope.
For if I Crossed That Bridge
I Would Cross To A New Life.
So I Curled Like A Water Ball,
Bobbing In The River.
And When
The Time Was Right,
I Caught The Branch
That Extended Its Help.
It Turned Out
A Hand of A Man
Who Knew My Name.
I Crossed The Bridge
Never To Look Back.
But Every Now And Then
I Revisit.
To Extend My Hand
To The Next One.
