“She and Him”
She played the perfect hostess
Denying him nothing
He couldn’t desire for more
As if she was walking on air
She caught the piquant glances
Of his yearning for her
In her pearls and fitted black
She swayed by his breath
He smelled her sweet fragrance
Of a delicate rose pedal
His lips puckering
Perhaps thinking of a kiss
She was sure of it
That when
At that moment
They looked into each others eyes
He wouldn’t hesitate at the slightest bit
To be by her side
It was only a matter of time
That she would demonstrate
All that he was missing
He hadn’t never witnessed
Her delightful inspiration for life
But he would tarry patiently
Rapt in his dreams of her
The frisson of desires lifting their hearts
The nascent of all there was
To look forward to; excited her
The oneiric of ludic playfulness in her mind
His mind full of insouciant charm
Nimiety of daydreaming of all that could be
In that one opalescent night of crystal, champagne, and sparkle
In their eyes…
Her eyes…brown…His of course green
She came to write a poem of her and him
On that one lucky day and night
Blissfully they embrace…forever more
