March 28, 2020 US Coronavirus Cases – Natalie Keshing, Editor-in-Chief at Nats.news. This article will be updated regularly as more specific information comes in. Be safe and enjoy your day.
US Coronavirus Cases on March 28, 2020 is 120,204 5:28 pm ET. On March 18, 2020 Wednesday evening, US Coronavirus cases were 7,769 in all 50 states, including Washington, DC and Puerto Rico. There are 1,997 Coronavirus deaths and 3,229 people have recovered.
New York State and City has been the hardest hit with 52,318 COVID-19 cases and 728 deaths.
President Trump is considering imposing quarantines imposed on New York, New Jersey, and parts of Connecticut to further stop the spread of Coronavirus throughout the country.
The FDA approved a Coronavirus test that delivers results in under 15 minutes. Abbott Laboratories, a healthcare company based in Illinois, said its new test can deliver positive results in as little as 5 minutes and a negative results in 13 minutes.
HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE & AZITHROMYCIN, taken together, have a real chance to be one of the biggest game changers in the history of medicine. The FDA has moved mountains – Thank You! Hopefully they will BOTH (H works better with A, International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents)…..

President Trump signed the Defense Production Act. Fema is sending 60,000 testing kits. Fema is shipping 73 pellets of personal protection equipment (PPE) to NY City and 36 pellets to Washington State and that includes 8 million N95 respirator masks and 13.5 million surgical masks. This should help tremendously. The NY City Major said, they only had enough medical supplies to last through the end of the week.
President Trump is reassessing the Coronavirus crises here in the United States and is considering people return back to work by April 19, 2020. Obviously hospitals, doctors, and nurses have to have the capacity, personal private equipment and ventilators to do their jobs effectively and not overwhelm the health care professionals in each hospital. By then, with enough testing available, employees could be tested with the 45 minute Coronavirus test kits to return to work safely and not continue to spread the Coronavirus to the public.
Thanks to Dr. Deborah Birx and all her hard work she informed the public that the United States has tested more people across the country than South Korea. Daily testing is 50,000 to 70,000/day. More than 357,907 Americans have been tested for COVID-19 in the US.
New York state has 25,665 Cases. New York City has 14,904 cases and 210 deaths. New York Governor Cuomo warned the public that hospitals will be overwhelmed with new cases needing 140,000 beds, 40,000 ICU beds and 30,000 ventilators. Fema is sending 2,000 ventilators today and another 2,000 tomorrow. And a lot more will come from the private sector that has stepped up to make additional ventilators. CDC reported they sent disease detectives and found traces of the Coronavirus on the Diamond Princess cruise ship on surfaces and in passenger cabins up to seventeen days after the passengers had disembarked.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is opening testing facilities at football stadiums in Miami and Jacksonville.
Breaking News Los Angeles County shifts from containing COVID-19 Coronavirus to advising doctors to skip testing of some patients. The failure of Los Angeles to adequately test possible Coronavirus cases will hamper efforts to contain the disease as well as underestimate the scope and spread leading to misallocation of resources.
With a population of 40 million people in the State of California, the number of total Coronavirus cases 2,494. Comparing California’s testing to the greater New York area with a population of 24 million the number of cases is 25,665 in NY. This demonstrates that adequate testing is not being done or reported by the State of California. This is a serious problem the President’s Coronavirus Task Force has to address with California’s Governor Gavin Newsom. Testing is essential for those who have the Coronavirus symptoms.
Big News! The FDA approves Coronavirus test that can provide results in 45 minutes. This could be available as soon as next week. This alone should incentivize and motivate Los Angeles County to continue to test their citizens on a regular basis as all other 49 states continue to do.
The US population distribution is as follows. This needs to be taken into account when discussing the numbers of people hospitalized for Covid-19.
0 – 18 years = 24%
19 – 25 years = 9 %
26 – 34 years = 12 %
35 – 54 years = 26 %
55 – 64 years = 13 %
65 + years = 16 %
Consider the following statement from the CDC – Centers for Disease Control and Prevention analysis
US cases from February 12 to March 16 released shows 38% of those sick enough to be hospitalized were younger than 55. However, 71% of the population is under 55 which means that people under 55 are being hospitalized at half the rate of people over 55.
Hospitals are reporting they are seeing a higher number of hospitalizations from younger people. Younger people who vape could be more vulnerable to severe symptoms.
President Trump announced US and Mexico have agreed to limit non-essential travel across border amid the Coronavirus. The President’s administration announced sweeping new travel restrictions between US and Mexico in the latest step by the administration to curb the spread of the virus; halting non-essential travel and moving to turn back any illegal immigrants trying to enter the country.
President Trump announced he is suspended student loan payments without penalty for at least 60 days, and he’s moving income tax day to July 15, 2020.
New York Governor Cuomo ordered the entire state to “remain indoors to the greatest extent” mandating all workers stay home unless they are performing essential functions, like providing food, utilities and health care.
Governor J.B. Pritzker announced on Friday, March 20, 2020 that the state will enforce its own version of a “shelter-in-place” order beginning Saturday at 5 p.m. and continuing through April 7.
On Thursday, March 19, 2020 California Governor Gavin Newsom announced a statewide order mandating that all Californians stay at home except for essential work and errands due to COVID-19 Coronavirus. California is home to approximately 40 million people.
President Trump and the Coronavirus Task Force announced two potential drug therapies that are showing promising results in helping those diagnosed with COVID-19; Chloroquine, a Malaria Drug and Remdesivir.
Another alternative and form of treatment is after Coronavirus patients have been treated and are feeling better, blood could be drawn using the Immunoglobulins to increase the body’s resistance to the virus in new COVID-19 cases.
You are now seeing the numbers of COVID-19 in the US increase dramatically due to more testing. This will continue through the oncoming weeks and there will be a significant rise in the number of Coronavirus cases per state and in the country. Please do NOT panic, the CDC and the Coronavirus Task Force officials need an accurate number in each state and a whole number in the United States. This is pertinent information needed to prepare and be proactive to combat COVID-19 to save lives increasing in hospital capacities and making sure there is enough doctors, nurses and medical equipment available where needed.
Please do NOT take this very infectious virus COVID-19 lightly. Even people in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s are susceptible. Two people in the US, one person 41 and another in their early 50s are very sick at the Massachusetts Hospital.
Just about everyone knows the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) covered up critical details regarding the initial spread of the Coronavirus in November and December, 2019 in Wuhan China. Now US mainstream media is also covering for the CCP. This demonstrates how egregious and corrupted mainstream media is and also a huge threat to the American people. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said, warning that a similar situation could unfold “if we don’t get to the bottom of this.”
A March 19 headline story published in CCP mouthpiece Xinhua said there were “no new infections of the novel coronavirus” in Wuhan, the origin of the virus, adding that the news sends “a message of hope to a world grappling with the pandemic.” A March 18 article in The New York Times reported the same narrative, with a headline titled “China Hits a Coronavirus Milestone: No New Local Infections.”
Dr. Deborah Birx was asked if she believed the Chinese CCP COVID-19 reports that there are no new virus cases in Wuhan China. Dr. Birx indicated that China’s and South Korea’s curves looked similar and she was inclined to believe the data.
In Wuhan, residents are still witnessing long lines at hospitals while more facilities are still being built to accommodate the sick.
Netizens said, they don’t trust the Chinese regime’s narrative to the public and the world.
It is now estimated the CCP Coronavirus started in November and nothing was reported till the end of December in Wuhan alone. During this time flights from all over the world were landing and leaving China’s airports. Five million people alone escaped to South Korea.
It is ominous and egregious that the Chinese Communist Party chose to cover up the truth, allowing it to spread throughout China and to the world, creating a global pandemic.
On March 18, a netizen passed the Wuhan Union Hospital, one of 46 designated facilities to treat COVID-19, and was shocked to see a queue in front of it. “Look, Look! People are lining up in front of the fever clinic at Wuhan Union Hospital,” the netizen said in a social media video.”
“On the early morning of March 19, a construction worker shared a video of a new makeshift hospital set up within a stadium in suburban Wuhan.”
A resident in Wuhan said authorities have recently set up so-called “relay stations” around the city inside universities, where diagnosed COVID-19 patients are being held there in quarantine.
A resident said, “After the 14 makeshift hospitals were closed on March 10, they set up 300 relay stations. I believe they are like a new type of makeshift facility.”
Before Xi Jinping’s first visit to Wuhan since the outbreak, authorities closed down the makeshift field hospitals, saying there was no longer a need for them part of a campaign to deceive the public.
And again another Wuhan resident believed the epidemic was much more severe than what authorities would admit to.
Roads are still locked, and businesses have not resumed production in Wuhan.
Many netizens are skeptical of the authorities’ claims that the epidemic has been contained.
Only when North Korea and Russia reopen their borders to China will we know the invisible CCP virus will no longer be a deadly threat to the world.
Please remember, we are each doing our part by staying home, frequently washing our hands to prevent the virus from spreading and/or putting someone or a loved one at risk; especially people in their 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 100’s with underlying healthy conditions or those with an immunocompromised system.
NY Governor Cuomo made a critical request from President Trump to use the Army Corps of Engineers to build additional field medical capacity. The US Navy ship called Comfort with a 1,000 bed capacity is being prepared to be deployed to the New York City harbor. Each Governor should assess their state’s requirements to be proactive and handle the number of people who may need critical care in an ICU. The Army Corps of Engineers can also build additional medical field space versus using a building site that may not meet the requirements to run a make shift ICU efficiently. ~ Natalie
Through Fox News, the American College of Emergency Physicians reported on Saturday, March 14th – 2 Emergency room doctors working to help treat the infected amid the Coronavirus outbreak are in critical condition after coming down with the virus. The cases are located on each US coast.
A 70-year-old physician in Paterson, NJ who leads the emergency preparedness unit at an institution in the state was admitted to a hospital last week with upper respiratory problems and remains isolated in intensive care.
In Washington, an emergency physician in his 40s is in critical condition after having symptoms consistent with the COVID-19. It’s unknown whether the virus was spread at work or in the community. The physician works at Evergreen Health Medical Center in Kirkland, Washington where at least 15 people have died from the COVID-19 virus.
The biggest hot spots (states with highest Coronavirus cases) of COVID-19 are Washington State, New York and California but the numbers are growing across the country.
