About Natalie Keshing
The mic recording of Donald Trump and Billy Bush is all over the news and social media sites. The tape of Mr. Trump and Billy Bush talking about women in highly sexualized overtones. There’s plenty to digest, listening to the tape from Access Hollywood recorded almost eleven years ago. Everyone who has listened to the tape has ultimately come to their own opinions. Many, I’m sure were shocked and disappointed with words that were used to describe a woman’s body. The shock comes from listening to someone else cross boundaries that as individuals most would prefer to refrain from talking about a woman’s body and in such a personal way.
The woman in the recorded scene was an actress who was there to meet Mr. Trump and Billy Bush when they stepped down from the RV where the mic recording had already taken place. The young actress appeared to be delighted to meet both men. She was tall and slender and was wearing a pink thin silk short dress. It appeared she wasn’t wearing a bra under her dress and that’s her prerogative and choice. Encouraged by Bill Bush the actress appeared comfortable and was delighted to give a normal hug to Mr. Trump and Billy Bush. Neither of the men touched or looked at her inappropriately.
There are beautiful women all over this world. Especially, in the entertainment business we’ve seen lots of videos from entertainers like Madonna, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus who often appear scantily clad; almost as little as they can get away with in the public eye while performing. We see models that are 5’9″ to 6’ that are extraordinarily thin, walking down modeling runways with their bodies beautifully adorned in designer clothing. In general, most women love to feel beautiful. Most women love to dress up. Do their make-up, their hair and put something on that makes them feel beautiful. As a woman it can change your entire out look and mood. That’s part of a women’s physiological makeup. That’s also part of the the entertainment media and now social media influencing women’s and especially young girls minds. It has affected young teenage girls very negatively because some feel very self conscious about their appearance comparing themselves to other young girls.
There is an important question that needs to be addressed, “How do normal woman and young teenage girls compare themselves to other women and young teenage girls who have gone through an extensive amount of plastic surgery to enhance their appearance and feel more attractive. The perfect nose, the high cheek bones, the eyelids redone, the lips pumped fuller, frequently done botox, facelifts, contour suctioning surgery, etc.
Reality TV shows like the Kardashians, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, New York, Atlanta, New Jersey all advertise these women’s lives who most are wealthy and have had a tremendous amount of surgery to completely change their original selves to someone entirely different. Some but very few have admitted to this publicly. Again, it’s an individual’s choice but it does start setting unrealistic goals and comparisons and influences women and especially young teenage girls to concentrate on their appearance almost 100% of their time to the point of obsession and that is where problems start because self esteem especially is primarily based on looks and doesn’t concentrate on school, academic and sport activities, building their self esteem from within.
Each of us as women, as a human being has a choice and a priority to love ourselves from within. To feel good and comfortable with our own bodies not allowing hyped up over sexualized entertainment TV and movies and social media on Instagram to define our self images.
I have talked about the fact that still to this day if you look at most TV commercials, TV programs, and movies there is usually a Caucasian actress who has the good fortune to be selected as an actress to play a given role in a commercial, TV program or movie. Most of these actresses have had surgical enhancement done to their faces and bodies and plastic surgery changes their appearance drastically.
But there are many actresses like Susan Sarandon have openly talked about the very few roles or opportunities an actress in her 50’s, 60’s or even in her 40’s are available to continue to act; their chosen profession that should be able to extend a lifetime.
Why does the entertainment business in American society as a whole encourage stories to be written, directed and filmed for women’s lives in their 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s etc. It’s very rarely done if not at all. Women are still beautiful and have important stories to tell and share that part of humanity with an audience.
I personally enjoy the foreign and independent films because they hire a realistic and age appropriate for a particular leading role. English actresses like Judy Dench, Vanessa Redgrave, Helen Mirren, and Maggie Smith continue to act. These women are well into their 70’s and 80’s. It would be wonderful if Hollywood would change their perception and standards to hire age appropriate and realistic women to inspire and film older genres of all ages.
As in all elections there is a tremendous amount of time and money spent on opposition research of an opponent. Sometimes personal information or stories are often exposed, especially for those running for a President of the United States will often be exposed to the public. Mainstream and social media will go out of their way to censor a candidate’s federal crimes and corruption. For example, Hillary Clinton’s personal email server scandal. The Clinton Foundation accepted foreign donations totaling up to 100’s of billions through “pay2play” schemes with African oligarchs, rich executive billionaires, foreign adversaries promoting terrorism, and even 165 billion dollars from the State Department when Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State negotiated and awarded former FBI Director, James Comey when he was Vice-President of Lockheed Martin accepting multiple contracts for arms sales to foreign countries and those foreign donors donating to the Clinton Foundation. This was extremely important information to expose to the public. FBI Director James Comey had no business as a former employee of Lockheed Martin investigating Hillary Clinton, there was definitely a conflict of interest which led to obstruction of justice. As a result, James Comey granted immunity to five of Hillary’s co-conspirators who were working in the State Department and the Clinton Foundation at the same time. Most of these federal crimes were not prosecuted or exposed to the public to protect Hillary Clinton. Now it is Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden involved in several pay2play with China’s Communist Party, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
Obviously, Republican nominee, Donald Trump wasn’t aware he’s personal conversation with Billy Bush was being recorded illegally to be exposed eleven years later to the public. Is he a womanizer? I don’t know. Is he a man that loves beautiful women? I suppose. Is he a father, husband, friend, supporter, leader, entrepreneur, Presidential nominee? Yes, he is all of that.
How many of us have made the mistake of saying something hurtful and spiteful that we have regretted our actions and words.
The hypocrisy in politics is a given standard and has been a favorite weapon to use against the opposite party in this election 2016; who turns around and admittedly can do the same.
None of us live without guilt, shame, sacrifice, challenges, experiences, hypocrisy, and behavior that is less then what we wanted to express during a tumultuous time in our lives. None of us is a perfect being.
The question is, “Do you vote for a woman who has been involved with rich company executives and United State’s foreign adversaries in hundreds of pay2play schemes while ignoring top secret national security documents and more importantly put American’s national security in harms way or jeopardy?” or “Do you vote for a man who was exposed for an embarrassing and personal conversation with another man, but wants to protect the American people wholeheartedly and create a vital economy for all Americans to prosper.”
