Update on strongest hurricane Matthew possibly a Category 5. Forecast models are at a loss. The strongest hurricane in close to ten years and forecasts are worried about Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba, and Florida. It will be restrengthening in the Bahamas Jamaica, Haiti, Cuba and Florida. People please be prepared in every way possible. Even the weather forecast models are at a loss predicting this massive hurricane with a lot of uncertainty.
An animated weather newscaster said, “Hurricane Matthew at 5:00 pm Eastern time just went up to a 140 miles per hour. This is a big deal. Because the weather computer monitor models have it all wrong. When the models cannot handle a storm this early in the game you have to question if the track, landfall, and intensity is going to be right. So they’re flying the G4 jets into the storm. This is what we got, it looks good until you get to Cuba on the eastern side of it. After this, we just don’t know.”
A 140 miles per hour (220 kph) is powerful enough to wreck houses, the forecaster said.
A pretty sobering projection based on no known parameters to track this storm accurately at the moment.
Many in KINGSTON, Jamaica were stocking up on water and food on Friday and Saturday for preparation.
Matthew is forecast to skim past the south coast of Haiti on Monday bringing tropical storm conditions. Haiti has been hard hit by natural disasters in the past, and officials said preparation efforts were focused in the south of the country.
You can never over prepare for these kinds of hurricane storms that come with a threatening and powerful maelstrom of a tumultuous state of emergency when it makes landfall.
Preparing with enough drinking water for the patients, with medication, with generators for electricity, available vehicles to go look for people at their homes,” said Yves Domercant, the head of the public hospital in Les Cayes in the south.
We’ll just have to see how Matthew strengthens and in which direction it will eventually hit.
Mathew strengthening may make landfall in the US by next week.
