Breaking News: A shooting last night in Burlington, Washington
Video footage of the man carrying a rifle at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, WA who shot and killed 5 people.
Four women shot dead and one man was gravely wounded who is now reported not to have survived at the Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington which is 60 miles north of Seattle.
The shootings took place at the Macy’s makeup department late last night around 7:00 pm Pacific time on a Friday night. The man was carrying a rifle. People inside the store heard the shots and ran outside of the store into the mall area.
At 5:00 am Pacific time police with K9 were still investigating the mall’s parking lot area and the vicinity nearby. They are looking for an unidentified man who was caught on camera inside the store.
“What sounded like four balloons popping,” Tari Caswell said went on to describe her harrowing experience at the Cascade Mall in Burlington. “Then I heard seven or eight more, and I just stayed quiet in the dressing room because it just didn’t feel right. And it got very quiet. And then I heard a lady yelling for help, and a man came and got me and another lady, and we ran out of the store.”
The suspect has been described as a Hispanic male. Burlington, a town of more than 8,300 people, has nearly 32 percent Hispanic population, according to the most recent Census Bureau data available. The gunman fled shortly after the shooting and law enforcement was not able to immediately apprehend him.
