It has been reported there has been a terrorist attack in Nice, France, just after midnight after a beautiful fireworks display crowds of people were celebrating Bastille Day in the south of France. There was a large truck called a lorry that purposely plowed into the crowd, killing at least 75 people and injuring dozens more.
It was also reported that there was an exchange of gunfire between the truck driver and the police.
Fox News asked Syndicated Columnist Charles Krauthammer “It looks like it was a different technique and it is most likely coming from ISIS. To put this in context there was a very credible report that ISIS is preparing it’s members for defeat in it’s homeland so called caliphate, as it’s being squeezed on all fronts. What we might be seeing is the change in the nature of ISIS, from a territorial terrorist organization, to going back to the form that Al-Qaeda had of being scattered internationally without a center and yet striking from all sides. It’s not as if this is going to go away, but this could be what the administration has been saying. This is an organization losing it’s territorial grip and yet responding by showing it’s international threat and has metastasized and can act devastatingly as we see now.”
