A Woman, A Character and a Monster: Selma Hayek, “Harvey Weinstein is my monster too.”

It was the week of October 30, 2017, Hollywood continued to expose the worst crimes including rape and pedophilia. More actresses came out to share their very personal stories of being sexually molested or raped by Harvey Weinstein’s evil persona. The mask he wore and the facade he created for the public eye and beneath it, a monster of the worst kind. When I read Annabella Sciorra’s horrific story of being raped by Harvey Weinstein, it hit me the hardest because she was having a seizure of some kind during the brutality of this monster raping her. It was a terrible brutal experience yet Annabella went on to have a successful acting career still reaching for the heights of her dreams with her inimitable wonderful talent. How she did it? I wouldn’t even pretend to know. All I can say is Harvey Weinstein is a Monster and needs to go to prison! There he will meet God who will feed him to the Devils!

The Harvey Frankenstein Sex Scandal has blown open the doors of Hollywood’s finest actors and actresses coming out of the shadows to share their personal stories. If anything good came from Harvey Weinstein’s horrible criminal behavior it is that molesters and rapists are being identified from Hollywood elites to a candidate running for the Senate; Roy Moore. Who has been accused of being a pedophile violating a young adolescent girl at the age of fourteen among others. This woman told her story with courage and a broken heart when she was violated at fourteen in the woods. ‪The thought makes me cringe. Only for the perpetrators has this hit them with a ton of bricks, startling their insistent denials.‬

No one said anything against the movie mogul to protect their self interests and movie careers.‬ And during all this time that Harvey Weinstein stalked, raped and emotionally hurt these women, there was another darker deeper secret hiding in the dark shadows in Washington D.C. The raping and torturing of young innocent children snared in child trafficking in the pedophile rings in the US. Needless to say, mainstream media and those in Washington are not addressing this horrible, evil, damaging crime. Tall blonde beautiful Daryl Hannah twice escaped Harvey Weinstein’s monstrous brutal grip. Daryl met Harvey at the Cannes Film Festival. They exchanged phone numbers for a possible business meeting in the States. She ignored his phone calls in her hotel room because she already knew his reputation was the worst in Hollywood.

He was incessant as Daryl described it, pounding on her hotel room door but Daryl managed to leave the hotel room through an exterior door and slept in her makeup artist’s room. But the monster returned the next morning! Daryl said, “We pushed a dresser in front of the door and they huddled in the room” (like scared children). When Daryl encountered Weinstein in her hotel room again, he had a key and came through the living room into the bedroom. “He just burst in like a raging bull.” said Daryl. “And I know with every fiber of my being that if my male makeup artist hadn’t been there, things would not have gone well. It was scary.”

Luckily, my story didn’t come that close. I love movies, stories, characters and acting. I worked in Hollywood and in the Los Angeles metropolitan area as an Oracle Database Consultant. My degree was in Computer Science and Math and at night I took acting classes. There was one particular class right off of Hollywood Blvd. The building was clean and everyone seemed reputable. One night, a movie director was invited to watch our individual monologues. Of course, most of us were excited and thinking, “This could be our big break!” After class, the movie director asked me if I could give him a ride home. In my mind, he chose me as his first victim from this class. Yes, he flagged my instincts immediately. He explained that a friend had dropped him off at our class because his car was in the repair shop. I looked him directly in the eyes and asked him “Where do you live?” He told me and then I said to him, directly looking at him “I’m not going that way!” He walked away. Needless to say, I never went back to that acting class. I will say that the business of Hollywood and trying to make a career in acting isn’t easy for anyone. It’s extremely competitive and you don’t always have great experiences. But on the flip side, there are those genuine people who you do meet and learn a lot from. I had a favorite acting coach and she taught me the most about acting. She was extremely smart and she challenged each of us to understand a character’s virtues as well as vices and apply that knowledge to our scenes.

Anthony Edwards who played one of the most popular doctors in the ER TV series has written an emotional essay in which he alleges that writer-producer Gary Goddard molested him and raped his friend in a pattern of abuse that “went on for years.” 

While Charlie Sheen has denied he raped late child star Corey Haim some 30 years ago on the set of “Lucas”. Denise Richards in her divorce decree said she found very disturbing pornographic pictures of young boys on Charlie Sheen’s computer. 

Comedian actor Louis C.K. has been accused by five women who say he acted inappropriately by masturbating in front of them. Comedy duo, Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov alleged that in 2002, C.K. exposed himself to them after inviting them to hang out in his hotel room. 

One popular director has stated that this is just the beginning of what is to come from the Hollywood entertainment business. Needless to say, Louis C.K. has been dropped from pending movie projects. 

Famous actor Kevin Spacey, best known for the Francis Underwood character in the House of Cards, was accused of raping a 14 year old boy.  It appears Spacey was in his mid twenties at the time. Spacey came out and said he has lived as a gay man for most of his life and he apologized to the victim, saying he didn’t remember the incident because apparently he was drunk and he blacked out. But that young actor, at 14, can never erase or black out a lifetime memory of being sexually assaulted. Eight current and former employees of the Netflix TV show “House of Cards,” who were not identified, also have accused Spacey, the star of the show, of sexual misconduct. Spacey’s show has been canceled and he is being replaced for the current role in the upcoming film “All the Money in the World”.    

The Hollywood seismic fallout from decades of movie producer Harvey Weinstein’s sex crimes, preying upon young aspiring actresses, has been a huge blow to the Hollywood community and entertainment business. There will most definitely be a flagrant uncomfortable feeling in the air at the 2018 Academy Awards. No satire could withstand the realness of Weinstein’s evil legacy permeating through the air. A definite challenge for the host of the 2018 Academy Awards.

There were hundreds, maybe thousands, in the movie business including very reputable movie actors and actresses who knew and said nothing about this dirty secret that could have prevented other women from being victimized. ‪Meanwhile, the movie mogul continued to prey upon these young women who wanted a decent chance to start their career. And Mr. Weinstein caught on camera could only say, “Everyone deserves a second chance” referring to himself with no compassion or empathy for ruining these women’s lives and careers.‬ Those who were part of Harvey’s cult were complicit in these horrible degrading sex crimes he committted. ‬

‪Comparatively, the Catholic Church protected and relocated thousands of priests who raped altar boys for decades. Many of these priests were never tried, convicted or sent to prison. Instead, they were relocated to live a comfortable retired life. ‬

‪The movie actor Bill Cosby drugged and raped hundreds of women. But the statute of limitations prevented any of these women from going further and seeking legal ramifications against the actor. Instead, he sits in a beautiful home, retired and well taken care of. ‬

Criminal charges depend on the statute of limitations and where the victim lives‪ in order to pursue criminal charges against their perpetrators; rapists. Where did the sex crime occur? In what state? How many years ago did the sex crime take place? Many victims of a sex crime don’t talk about their sexual abuse or rape experiences until they are much older. There is shame, confusion, mistrust, anger, feelings of helplessness and deep hurt that is part of the victim’s lives. It is time to change the statute of limitations on sex crimes in all states? The statute of limitations is only protecting the perpetrators, molesters and rapists!

Up until now, many in Hollywood were castigating President Trump and ignoring the former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s pattern of criminal behavior against the Constitution, Federal laws under Title 18-793f and the Charity Fraud Solicitation Law which Hillary Clinton violated many times over and over again.

Many in Hollywood were openly supporting Hillary and her pattern of criminal behavior, while decidedly remaining very quiet about Harvey Weinstein stalking, molesting and raping women throughout his career at Miramax. Everyone in Hollywood is less than six degrees of separation. Harvey Weinstein was very good friends with Hillary Clinton and donated millions to her and Obama’s campaigns. Meryl Streep openly campaigned and supported Hillary and just adored Harvey Weinstein, like the majority of the Hollywood community. As actors, they certainly were acting hiding the disgusting truth about this monster who raped and hurt so many women. 

But Hollywood has other problems that are even more superficial and discriminating. It’s not often you see different ethnic actors or actresses on commercials. Watch commercials on television and see for yourself. The very same discrimination is taking place in the acting community. There’s a certain type of actress big movie studios want to continue to hire, she is Caucasian, rail thin and most have undergone some form of plastic surgery to change and give the appearance of being youthful; forever. And even then, the older actresses who are given more opportunities are English actresses like Judi Dench, Helen Mirren, Maggie Smith, Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet or Kristin Scott Thomas. I have a great deal of respect for all of them.  It would be a breath of fresh air to see more diversity in movie roles and opportunities. Those celebrities, Hollywood moguls and studios don’t represent the human rights of others.

Meryl Streep made sure she had more than her 30 seconds to share with her audience at the Golden Globes 2016. She talked about her privilege. Her privilege to be white and enamored by the Hollywood industry which has given her so many doors of opportunity. I say you can’t pretend to support other ethnic communities when Hollywood moguls, studios and celebrities rarely offer a role to those people that come from a different ethnic background. It’s hypocritical! ‪Streep made it very clear that she was the white nightingale that would support mainstream media who thoroughly and utterly supported the Democratic nominee who lost to the American people who voted for President Trump. Those who voted for President Trump did trust the Democratic nominee for more than obvious reasons on the List of Corruption.
   
There was an undertone of waging a war against President Trump and joining mainstream media who doesn’t report about the corruption in Washington’s government agencies, former President Obama and his administration, Hillary Clinton’s email scandal and the Clinton Foundation which all sold US Uranium to the Russians. Most of the Democratic party, who are very rich, have no idea what the 99.9% of Americans have to live with and struggle on a day to day basis. In Orange County, California, there are miles and miles of homeless people. It’s almost unbelievable but it is real and here in America.

Don’t let rich celebrities and Hollywood moguls in this business fool you, that they represent the human rights of others. If they did, more diversity in leading roles would exist and show on screen.‬ I was happy to observe that Meryl’s audience at the Golden Globes 2016 did include a few Black Americans and one Muslim actor. Some of the members in the audience did appear to be very uncomfortable when Meryl started to talk about politics at the Golden Globes podium. 

The rich Hollywood elites and Democrats like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi only care about 11 million votes from Mexico because they are now trying to hold on to those votes for Democratic elections because the Democratic party is literally disintegrating in corruption that has infiltrated throughout government agencies like the FBI, CIA, DOJ, State Department, IRS and Congress.

Democrats don’t want a wall built because it would significantly reduce the child trafficking from Mexico and 23 other countries that have been blacklisted for failing to meet the minimum standards in fighting human trafficking. It will also reduce the unethical and illegal practice of illegal criminal immigrants crossing the border smuggling young innocent children and young adolescents into this country to be horribly abused, tortured, raped and even killed. Too many in Congress on the alt left deep state are involved in child trafficking and pedophile rings in the US to get rich and maintain their criminal fetishes.

The 2016 Academy Awards were boycotted by some actors, actresses and people from the movie industry. People were very disappointed that movies with other ethnic backgrounds weren’t selected for at least one nomination. Variety had a featured article on this fact. Chris Rock made it his comedy theme throughout the entire Academy Awards show.

It is my hope that independent films from independent directors, cinematographers and producers will offer more roles to a wider ethnic pool of actors and actresses. Netflix and Amazon have become great competitors to the film industry. Videographers of documentaries and small independent films are given opportunities through Netflix and don’t have to have the Hollywood ties and standards of movie studios and moguls to support and produce an independent film covering a wider social demographic and ethnic background of stories.

The real irony is Hollywood moguls, the movie industry and rich celebrities, who gave their support to the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton are those who contribute to the prejudice in the Hollywood movie industry. So you have people who are outraged about illegal immigration laws being enforced and yet these very same people in the movie industry didn’t offer an opportunity to a wider ethnic pool of actors/actresses to play an interesting role. A person who didn’t fit the prefabricated rules of being young, thin, Caucasion, plastic surgery, botox injections and so on and so forth. Yes, the whole movie, TV, fashion and entertainment industry is caught up in being as youthful and as beautiful as you should remain for the rest of your life. It sounds superficial and it is; it limits others outside of the prima donna fabrication controls in this industry.  

By the same token, mainstream media is now competing with social media writers, websites, bloggers and commentators. It is a fact that mainstream media is very biased and hasn’t reported all of Hillary Clinton’s premeditated pattern of criminal behavior while she was Secretary of State in the Obama administration.

It’s an evolving, dramatically changing world. But the best part of it, we can communicate our thoughts, feelings, creativity and talent through social media. And we can also inform ourselves which is the most important.
