There is looting and violent protesting taking place in Charlotte, North Carolina at 9:30 pm Eastern time. Protesters were protesting against the shooting that took place on Tuesday September 20, 2016, where Keith Lamont Scott was shot by a police officer.
In order to take more control of the protest police officers have thrown more tear gas, maze, and flash bang into the streets. They are continuing to push forward with tear gas thrown into the streets. There was initially about 800 protesters down to 200. The scene has been reported to be a lot less controlled than the protests in Ferguson.
It has been reported that one individual, a protester was shot behind his head and he was pronounced dead. That individual is not dead, he is in a coma on life support. This man was shot by an other protester.
Seven police officers have been taken to the hospital and one civilian.
Protesters were also protesting for the unarmed man Terence Crutcher who was shot in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
