Siegfried Fischbacher of ‘Siegfried & Roy’ dead at 81 following cancer battle
Natalie’s Commentary: I was lucky enough in my lifetime to see and thoroughly enjoy ‘Siegfried & Roy’ three times. They were the biggest show in Las Vegas. It was magical to see beautiful white tigers with Roy disappear and reappear in their magical shows. It wasn’t only the beautiful animals who were a big part of their show but Siegfried and Roy were a charismatic dynamic duo. They came to America and made their dreams come true. They knew how fortunate and blessed they were. Rest in peace Siegfried.
Siegfried Fischbacher, the acclaimed magician who delighted audiences for decades as one half of “Siegfried & Roy,” has died following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Fischbacher died Wednesday night at his home in Las Vegas, a representative said.
His death comes less than a year after Roy Horn, his partner in the “Siegfried & Roy” act, died last May from COVID-19 complications.
