The Legacy of Angostura through Scoria Media
Like fine wine aficionados there is the delicacy of the taste of a particular rum that stirs the palate across the world. An exquisite sipping rum.~Natalie
“A rich mahogany in colour with hints of bronze, Angostura® 1787 is beautifully balanced, with a medium-bodied palate, and a sweet bouquet of banana, dried fruit and oak with top notes of apples. Its taste carries a hint of dried prunes and sweet rounded oak notes entwined with toffee nuances, with a long, crisp finish.”
Since 1787, from the Angostura bark, Angostura in 1787 commemorated the establishment of the first sugar mill at the famous Lapeyrouse sugar plantation in Trinidad, Dr. J. G. B. Seigert offers the quintessential Caribbean spirit through generations to come. ~ Natalie
“The journey started in 1824 when founder Dr. Johann Siegert first produced aromatic bitters in Angostura, Venezuela (today called Ciudad Bolivar). In the 1870’s, Dr. Siegert’s three sons migrated to Trinidad, among them Don Carlos Siegert, who pioneered the brand, establishing ANGOSTURA® aromatic bitters as an integral ingredient in premium cocktails and ultimately a mainstay of cocktail culture.”
A story to remember…Una Storia A Recodar
It was a memorable holiday for Don Carlos. He took great pride in his family and his business. All at the elegant table setting of crystal and rum and sparkle. The fire dancing above red candles lit. Don Carlos stood and smiled at his beautiful wife. He took the time to look into each of his children’s eyes. Their eyes sparkled with their father’s love and how proud he was of each of them. ~ Natalie
“A todas las personas de todo el mundo. Les damos las gracias por su paladar y sus negocios. A ti mi preciosa familia, somos tan afortunados de tener uno al otro y te amo innensamente.”
“To all the people across this world. We thank them for their palate and their business. To you my precious family, we are so fortunate to have each other and I love you immensely.”
They all stood and cheered and drank Angostura 1787.
